I have just downloaded some MODs for the the game. They are all for single player, but when I go into the Single Player game, I click on Setup, and then MODs, BUT there are no MODs in there. I have installed all of the MODs to the 'Gamedata' directory'. All of the MODs will appear in the Multiplayer Menu, but not the Single player Menu. I load them in Multiplayer and nothing happens. I don't understand why they are not listed to load in Single player. Can some one help me out...

They should show up in the mod menu, but for some reason that doesn't work.

If you want to use mods in sp you have to create a batchfile for every mod. Lets say you want to load the Tavion mod. You have to put the pk3 file into a folder called TAVION in the GameData folder. Create a textfile in the Gamedata directory and paste

jk2sp.exe +set fs_game TAVION in. TAVION is the name of the folder that contains the mod . Save the file as Tavion.bat . To run the mod doubleclick on Tavion.bat .

First, How do you create a textfile in the Gamedata directory?

Second, Where is set fs_game TAVION? *I am trying to install sp_TheVilla conversion Single player MOD. I can't find set fs_game...

Third, How do you join the two files together?

Simply go to the GameData directory, rightclick on an empty spot and select new textfile.

You can't find it because its not a file, its a command that tells the game to load the mod.

Third, How do you join the two files together?
What 2 files are you talking about?

Getting Villa mod to work:

1. Extract the pk3 file to .........\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\villa .

2. Download Villa.bat and put it into the Gamedata folder.

3. Doubleclick on Villa.bat

I have created a new textfile in the Gamedata directory. Now, do I need to add "set fs_game Villa" to the "jk2sp.exe" by renaming it?

How do I paste the "jk2sp.exe + set fs_game Villa" to the textfile?

Thank You Teleguy. Without your help I would have never figured it out.

'EVERYONE READ BELOW TO INSTALL MODS IN SINGLE PLAYER'

Do everything that Teleguy has said in the above Replys.

STEPS:

(1)Go into the Gamedata folder and click on FILE, then NEW, then Textfile. (Word Pad or NotePad will work)

(2)With the new Document, open it and type, "jk2sp.exe +set fs_game ???" Without the quotes. *(??? is where you type the name of the folder containing the MOD)*

(3)After typing that, go to FILE and save the file to the name of the document. MAKE SURE YOU PUT .BAT AT THE END.

"Example, I used the sp_TheVilla MOD. I typed in NotePad, "jk2sp.exe +set fs_game sp_TheVilla" Without the quotes. sp_TheVilla is the name of the folder that the MOD is in.

Next, in Notepad I went to FILE, then SAVE AS, I named the new document as "sp_TheVilla.bat" Without the quotes."

(4)Now doubleclick on the new .bat file and the game will load.

(5)Type [shift] + ~ and type in "map sp_TheVilla" Without the quotes.

I loaded the villa mod for Sp. I have never loaded any mods! all I do is extract them and then I put them in the gamedirectory file. For the vill Sp level all I did was start the game up and go to load and the Sp level was there so all I had to do was load. How come I am the only person that does this?Does everbody have create that file. I didn't! So is this bad or just a fluke? Please respond!:)
