techsurfer
Ive found that they've taken away the slow falling method by using the crouch and fire in light stance. That's a bummer cos I liked using that! Anyone else agree?
Elegy
Yeah, I'm a little dissappointed because I liked to screw around with that in that bespin air chamber level. Every time that level popped up nobody would ever fight. You'd always find all the players gathered around outside floating accross that huge gap to the walkway down below. Oh well, there's plenty of other ways to have fun in that level. Kudos to the developer of it. But, despite that I'm kinda glad it got fixed because in serious games where everyone's actually trying to play, that floating exploit was a pain in the ass. Perhaps now it'll give some of the CTF players some pause before they go running with the flag to hide up top in the ctf_yavin level where that bug is. Though going up after them was easy enough. The uppercut is pretty deadly you know, and it must be used on the ground, since if you do it on the air is pretty ez to execute. However in land, is a little bit harder, and sumtimes you can see your opponent trying to do it, so you know whats comming =P.. I guess they removed b/c they saw this, and they thought it was unfair or sumthing.
Mercen4ry
Nah.... it was just an exploit to keep yourself from taking fall damage, and that's why they got rid of it. The real way they wanted you to "stick" (that is, take less damage from) a landing was to press the use key when you land (it's listed in the manual). However, they dropped this "sticking" manuever in lieu of something a little more realistic - rolling just as you land. Basically, after you fall off a high ledge, hold forward+your crouch key ("c" by default). When you land, you should roll and take anywhere from 2/3 - 1/4 of the total fall damage. Neat, yes? Kurgan
I wonder if you can still use the move in mid-air though? I have yet to test this (don't have JK2 installed right now, much less the new patch). You can also use Force Protect to reduce/nullify falling damage. I did like the move, as I liked the way you could use Force Far Sight that way in MotS (an otherwise crappy power, IMHO). But I can live with the change....
GrEEk_OuTcAsT
There is another way that you get no damage from falling and they didn't fixed it. But better not make it public because it will be spammed.
SPY_jmr1
the reason this was FIXED, not nerfed, FIXED, it was a bug! it was not intended to be used in this way... also, the 'sticking' of a landing useing the use key; this is not the same thing, that will stop you from taking a step off a ledge in SP. I do not know if it works the same way in MP(any ver)
