I saw this link in the Jk2 forums and thought it was funny.

Its a guy writting parodys on the EU universe:)

I know Agent smith and Redwing among others have read it already but not all have.

Fans of Lucas canon should like it:D

It's horrible EU bashing. :(

There's humor, there's fun, there's mockery ... but this dude sometimes just gets plain rude! :(

I said this in the other thread and I'll say it again. For all these comments and implications that the EU is a ripoff and stuff, Lucas has everything canon in the movies, doesn't need the EU, EU just follows up and milks it out, etc... well thanks to Episode II I have a nice whopper of an argument to slam those discussions shut.

Aayla Secura. :D

Says it all. :) Originated in the Dark Horse Star Wars EU comics, penciled by Jan Duursema. George Lucas was inspired by the cover art of the 'Darkness' comic featuring Aayla so he decided to put her in Episode II (For those of you who wouldn't know, she a blue Twil'k Jedi Knight. She was played by Amy Allen and can be seen in the Jedi Temple and Arena battle -which she survives, officially recognized by GL- sadly not more scenes because she was added during post-production.) hence making her, her past, her character 100% canon.

Technically it does NOT make her past canon......because according to EU boba fett used to be Jaster Mereel, so pasts that aren't covered in the movies aren't canon..... ;)

I think that site tis funny. Even though i love reading EU....it still makes me chuckle

Yeah I agree you have to be able to laugh with the EU and the movies as well, we can't take it all too seriuosly but this guy seems a bit too psychotic really.

The movies are apparently holy to him and the EU this infestation. He should lighten up, no?

I know it doesn't make her past canon. :) But Aayla herself is and she originated as an EU character, so the EU musn't be that bad if George Lucas gets elements -be it few, true- from it now? ;)

It's just some of those guys are just like bashing and flaming, that's just sad, you know? :(

mmmmm, i dont agree, simply because it's not in the movies. She is canon, her history is not.

And perhaps that guy is not as obsessed with the movies as you think. I mean, he's OBVIOUSLY read many EU books, because he knows many characters, creatures, ideas, and planets. So perhaps he's just a very funny guy

Well :p to you!

Aayla is canon so nah! For me her history is as well. :D

(Mhh me acting like a two-year old, not really constructive ... embarassing this is ...)

I'm a big Aayla fan, I love all of SW, movies and EU so it's all the same for me. :) I like it that's what matters -to me-.

Wait. Aayla Secura's Past can be canon. She is a EU character made canon, unlike Boba Fett a canon character made EU (past and future). i mean they cannot be compared.

well, GL can do whatever he wants. He owns the rights to every character. If an auther chooses to publish reading material with a character he created and then gets Lucas' permission to publish the book, then he gives lucas the right to do anything he wants to the character in his movies :p

so if Aayla secura says she used to be one of jabbas slave girls in the Ep III, then it shall be done.

hrmm, in chapter 6 of this parady they might be mistaken.

I bought an episode 2 picture book (real photos).

and holocrons are in the book, I'm thinking that maybe they were taken out of the movie on short notice. I'm pretty sure they didn't make a prop holocron for the sole perpose of putting it in a picture book.

but who knows

Three holocrons. A Sith holocron, a Jedi holocron, and an apparently enormous Great Holocron. In the back you can see a credit thanking a person for managing to photograph the "unphotographable" Great Holocron.

The scene was cut along with the Lost Twenty scene.

Apparently Dooku got his first taste of the Dark Side from one of the Sith holocrons in the Library.

I was serious about Aayla secura.

ET warrior, i'm not 'that guy' and my name is Anak... Keiran Halcyon.

PS: I suggest you to change Plo Koon's saber color to BLUE. I'm serious too :D :D

DID I HEARD JEDI HOLOCRONS?? MMMmmm where did i READ that thing before....

I think that Aayla Secura, Aurra Sing, a lot of secondary Jedi and many minor role characters are made to write backstories about all of them. Well aayla secura is an exception but i'm sure we will se more stories about her.

Anyways about canon and saber colors... anyone knows why George decided to put only green-blue saber on EpII, having LET and surely knowing of that many jedi in EpI had different saber colors?

PS: I am a true SW fan, therefore I AM OBSESED WITH THE MOVIES AND THE EXPANDED UNIVERSE :D:p

Hello, people. Just to clear up anything (I'm the guy who started the thread in the JKII forums) I don't HATE the EU. I just disapprove of how many of it's elements have been twisted into.

For example, Luke has now become pretty much weaker than his students and he always gets beat up. I've always envisioned him as the most powerful Jedi in existence.

As for the Aayla Secura thing, yes, George throws a bone at the EU every once in a while, like the holocrons. And, the name Coruscant, and many of the planet's characteristics, were taken from Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. (Of course, the idea of an Imperial Center was concept work for ROTJ, but still....)

But don't get worked up about her EU past being true and all. George just thought having a blue Twi'lek girl in the background was cool. Nothing more than that.

I just posted it because it was funny, and, let's face it, a lot of the stuff is true.

Um... granted, I haven't seen any of the deleted scenes from the first one, but where did you see a single saber in Ep I that was NOT green, blue, or red?

*Gives Shadow Angel the evil eye.* :evil2:

George Lucas put Aayla Secura in Ep II because he finally realized she's the greatest Jedi of all and greatest Star Wars character!!! Yes sir!!! :D

It's sad though they have 'weakened' Luke a bit in the EU. :( To me he'll stay the most powerful Jedi in that era though, even if it doesn't show. :)

Well i have seen Luke been raised to dead in Courship of Princess Leia, enter and leave the darkside succesfully (although he doesn't think so), defeated several dark Jedi, managed to 'posses' his nephew Jacen to fight aginst Exar Kun, bring Kyp Durron to the Light Side again, and most important of all: managed to marry Mara Jade :D, and many more things, although i have not read Any New Jedi Order books (Yet :D)

PS: i am not angry with ET Warrior i was joking
