rut-wa jodar
how many years are their supposed to be between episode 1+4 ?
BCanr2d2
Check at starwars.com, but there is about 25-30 years between them AOTC is 10 yrs after TPM, and Episode 3 is meant to be a couple of years after the end of AOTC. There is approx 18 years between the end of Episode 3 and the beginning of ANH

Jedi_Monk
yep- yoda is 800 years old by esb Then how could Yoda be 900 years old in RotJ? And TPM occurred 32 years before ANH.
obi
Originally posted by Jedi_Monk Then how could Yoda be 900 years old in RotJ? I beleive I corrected him, good fellow. ANd 32 sounds about right to me.
Breton
If there is 30 years between TPM and ANH, and Obi-Wan is 25 years in TPM, then he is 55 years in ANH. Strange, he looks like 70.
Reb Starblazer
Heh, that's what living in a desert will do to you Actually, I noticed that too, Obi-Wan looks a lot older than he should in A New Hope, especially if Jedi's live longer than normal. Also, if there's 32 years between TPM and ANH, then Luke and Leia are what, 20 in ANH? It's weird, because some sources say they're 18, others say they're 20. I think 20 is the right one though. TPM - 32 years before ANH AOTC - 22 years before ANH EP III- 20 or 18 years before ANH(we'll find out which one in 2005)
Darth Talliusc
its been said that during the final battle between obi wan and anakin (notice, not vader but anakin) that anakin releases a whole ^%#load of dark force energy and uses it on obiwan thats why obi wan looks so old in anh. i dunno, nothing is solid in starwars (like how luke was going to be a girl, and how they had already made commercials calling ep6 "revenge of the jedi" but then GL said, "whoa jeeze, thats not right" and changed the whole thing)
BCanr2d2
I think the more acceptable, and proven reason for Revenge of the Jedi, is actually to beat the people stupid enough to release non-official items for the movie, to catch them out.
