Hiteche5 Posted July 18, 2002 Share Posted July 18, 2002 Well if some one tries to join the server without the mod and you don't have downloads on or they don't have downloads on then of course there is a mismatch and it says unpure client. Because there was only a check between the computers, rate was never established between the two (negotiatons were never completed cuase your server rejected them) so the ping shows up like that. If the mod does not require a download, it's probably the cause of people forgetting to upgrade to 1.04... If so, the server admin, the clients, or both forgot to turn on Allow Downloads, plain and simple... ... and if the latter, perhaps the server admin should put that information in the MOTD?
