And just to stay on topic, yea, I would of loved to have been able to see Star Wars the first time around. I've seen every episode in Theatres so far, and that experience has been amazing. No matter how big a TV, or how good a Stereo System, nothing compares to seeing it on the Big screen. Actually, in a way, it was the first time I saw Star Wars was on the big screen. When I watched A New Hope in theatre, it was the first time I had ever actually seen the entire movie. I'd seen snippets when I was younger, like when my dad would watch them, or when they came on TV, but never the whole movie. I just noticed that. Anyways, I've been hooked on Star Wars ever since(well, playing Dark Forces helped get me hooked. I mean the Original game)

Well, in order to get back on topic, who else had the same experience as me? The first time seeing Star Wars(the entire movie at least) was when they were re-released in theatre's a few years ago. I'm sure some other person besides me saw them for the first time there. To me it was absolutely amazing, I felt the same way my dad must have when he watched it for the first time in 1977. Watching that first crawl of the Star Destroyer slowly passing by was amazing, almost breathtaking.

Now, that I've posted something relevant, time for something completely different. [mod]bad plan;)[/mod]I've always had a thing for red hair myself. And green eyes.

[mod]yea, well who has'nt? me included...[/mod]

I was first introduced to SW when the Special Editions came out in theaters, too. That was SW' 20th Anniversary, in 1997.

Ahh, I knew there was someone else who saw the Special Editions in 1997, like me. I thought it was 1997, but I just wasn't sure. Something else that's pretty cool, that was five years ago, so it's now the 25th anniversary of Star Wars. Anyone else who was first introduced to Star Wars with the Special Editions, and didn't know that originally Han shot first(I didn't know anything was wrong until I started browsing the net:p), feel free to post here. After all, this is about watching Star Wars in the theatre for the first time(sort of), so it is on topic, from a certain point of view. :gben:

Yippee, I have a fan. Thanks SharaFett. If, by some miracle of the Force, I manage to make it to 1000 posts before you do, you'll have first crack at being my padawan. Sound good? Then I shall teach you the ways of wise poster. See, flattery will get you everywhere, except in my pants :tsk::D

Just joking around a bit with that last sentence BTW.

EDIT: wow, two fans. Well, Darth Knight, you are already a part of the Academy, and are probably well on your way to having your own master. So, my offer to SharaFett still stands. You'll probably be teaching before me anyway Darth Knight;)

Well, I have a 25 inch TV in my den, with six, 3 feet speakers, so it's like I am at the theater, almost, and all I watch is STar Wars/Trek movies on it. My dad told me about when he went to see ANH when it first premered(spelling?) and he said it was a blast.

I tried to get him to go see EP1 and EP2 with me, but he said:

"I ain't goin to see that new crap that ruins the old movies!"

:)
