what exactly is Awaiting Snapshot...??

I dont get this everything loads hella fast on my new comp but sometimes the awaitin snapshot thing takes forever and sometimes its instant..im so confused and angered please someone clear this up for me.

My guess is its the preloading the time to take a snap shot druing a game. For some games it takes a second or two to take a snapshot but taking it in multiplayer may lag the game.

Awaiting snapshot happens after you have loaded the map, weapons, player models etc..

 

A snapshot is a 'picture' of what is going on in the game, such as frags, caps, score, timeleft, and who is where on the map. So its basically getting all of the information and sending iit to your computer.

then why is it doing that, when the bar is full?

Because the 'bar' indicates how much of the player models, weapon models, map, sounds etc.. you have loaded, not the scores, timeleft, pings etc..

Interesting, my bar loads relatively slow compared to "Awaiting Snapshot". Maybe cause I play on Saber-Only and 90% of the models aren't needed .
