The female Twi'lek I talk about is blue, the one I've been mentioning in the stories(see Episode 1 and my first post in Episode 2), although mine is for a different reasons. I like having little messages in my stories. My character is a Sith, yet he's not evil. That's because I don't think that everything/everyone is so black and white(or in this case light and dark). I believe in the Yin/Yang idea, a little dark in every light, a little light in every dark. I've shown my thoughts on war(who I believe the true heroes are), and my message about the Twi'lek(I'm getting to that) has to deal with my thoughts on racism and stuff like that. Reb Starblazer is half human, half Zabrak, an odd combination. But his parents went against what everyone thought about them being together. So now, here's a half Human, half Zabrak, and a Twi'lek, another two people breaking the mould of society. I myself am an odd combination of cultures, so it ties in with how I feel about inter-culture/race relationships. Just my two credits worth. Darth Slayne Posted August 1, 2002 Share Posted August 1, 2002 Interculturalism is a good thing. I'm also a bit of a mix. English/German/French and a little yank as well. It seems that you have your character well planned out. Can't wait to read more on him. Your description of him reminds me of a Drow character I made in Dungeons and dragons. I sort of called him a transmuter, in the sense that he did evil as a means to promote good. You mentioned a similar thing in episode one as I recall. The character I have made for this was once a good man, but he falls prey to the lies of the Sith who "saved his life" when he is mistaken to be dead by his loved ones. Yet despite his evil ways he has no desire for power over others. He is content to follow his masters even if they aren't as powerfull as himself. I kind of see him as an infiltrator and assasin, with no interest becoming a warlord. His only concern in life is to maintain the survival of the Sith. It's one of my favourite quotes. As is fairly obvious now, I only joined the Sith to pretty much "destroy them from the inside out". Not so much destroy, but to help the Academy. As I had the best chance of being accepted, I figured I'd make my character join. As Reb said, he'll become evil incarnate itself if that's what it takes to stop Divine. We'll see... As for multiculturism, heh, how's this? My father is Half Lebanese, half english. My mother is canadian(as am I now), she's a mix of english, french, irish, scottish, and a little bit of Native American throw in there too. As for your chararacters motives, I kind of came to that conclusion while reading episode one. It could prove interesting. Darth Slayne may yet see another Sith order eat itself from within. There is a line in one of my favourite Dragonlance books that says something to the effect of "Evil can never gain the upper hand because it always destroys itself from within). Darth Talliusc Posted August 4, 2002 Share Posted August 4, 2002 we fight jedi, hang out, plot the course of the universe, hang out. some of our members like to blow stuff up. basically we provide an alternative to the light jedi academy. we discourage meaningless spam, we accept near everybody (never seen anybody get turned down yet). we have fun and enjoy the forums. you interested? all members have the right to post stories for themselves in the battle thread as long as they obey the simple rules, i cant remember all the rules but most are obvious: dont kill other characters unless they give you permission, dont contradict other peoples established stories without permission, bah i cant remember more then that but all the listed rule are in the battle thread.
