Hey, I have trouble with JKRadiant its makin me really mad :-\.. Okay I got a few problem can someone help me but they are really good at JKRadiant.. Okay first of all I make my map and i want to put an acid in it to make em die when they go in it but when i do that they don't die. I put system and i pick it the one u die or something but when I test it they dont the acid just goes away :( .. Okay my other problem is I made a ctf map too but I con't knwo how to play it.. I mean I put a ctf map well a flag in both bases and just the flag what else do i need in that ctf item? and also How do i play my ctf so it appears in the CTF in JediKnight jedioutcast? I know how to make the .pk3 file but not make it so i can play it as a ctf only in free forall when i tpe in the console devmapall ctfmap :confused: can someone help me plz that have good experince with JKRadint! Thanxs !!

I know how to make the .pk3 file but not make it so i can play it as a ctf only in free forall when i tpe in the console devmapall ctfmap

if i get what you are saying, (you want the map to show up as CTF only), well do you have an .arena file set up? also, when you devmap a map, it loads it in default setting (im assuming FFA in jk2mp)

Okay.. I made a ctf map right? and I put the flags, and the players at the point place i wanted it to be. Now I want to play my ctf map and i dont know how to make it show up in the screen so i can select it. How do i make the ctf playable in ctf. And i downloaded a map called streets ad i unzipped the .pk3 and i saw all these folders like Map,Levelshots,Scripts, etc.. How do i do those andmake my map playable in ctf! thanxs someone if u could help me by a step 1 by 1 like Step 1. Step 2 ETC

for the acid, I believe you pick a water shader, then make a trigger_hurt(?) right on top of the water, so that by the time they have hit the water, they're already dead. It's an illusion.

Hummm....The "slime" shader in the Yavin textures should make the player take damage without trigger_hurt. As for the arena file: do this.

 

copy and past the following into notepad--and save it as file type "all files" and name it "(yourmap).arena"

 

{

map "(exact name of yourmap)"

longname "(whatever you want the map to appear as in-game)

type "ctf"

}

 

 

Put that into the scripts folder and pack it up in pakscape.

Hmm okay I know the arena thing but I don't get the rest of the part.. Do i have to get my .bsp map in 1 folder? :s so confusing can someone tell me the process in order to make your ctf work? if u can email me the process like a step1 that would really help me bunch or if u can reach me on aol(aim) my screenname is CookingMyRice .. Im in a seroiusly really bad need help

Ok I figured it out,

just make a folder for your project

make a folder called scipts, one called maps and one call levelshots, and Im not sure about textures someone else might wanna clarify that...... but put your bsp in the maps folder, put your picture in the levelshots, and the script that karsha said to make just do exactly as he said to make it, put that in the scipts folder then put it all in a zip file and name it (yourname).pk3 put it in base and there

Okay ill try it again I have 1 time and i dont think it worked but when i make a ctf map am i sopose to include thre ctf_respawn? Well ill try thanxs for da help! ill set notice if it dont work on here
