tubbydrmmr
Does anyone know how to allow file transfers in chat programs when using a Router? I have a Linksys router for my home DSL and I can accept file transfers from others for the most part, but if I try to send a file, they cannot reveive it. I thought that I might have to open some ports up on the router to allow for the file transfer...but I don't know what ports they are? I am using ICQ and AOL IM and I would like to get at least one of them working...preferably ICQ. Anyone have any ideas?

SPY_jmr1
the mfg website SHOULD have the info you need, if not a quick stop at google.com should do the trick... I cant remember what linksys does for routing, I will go look... doh, 2 things: 1: I could make a book out of all the things to do to that sucker.... 2: did you try turning on the DMZ feature? if that wont doit, we will have to try somthing else then,eh? Zindell
Would doing that allow me to host games aswell? I hate my router for that fact alone. and if so could you explain that a little better, I've been trying so hard to figure out how to fix that but to no avail. NerfYoda
In order to run your JK2 server from behind a NAT router you'll need to foward UDP port 28070 to the IP address of your server. Check your router documentation on how to do that.
