superdude201 Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 For some reason after i compile my level why when i type \devmap tatooinetown does it not work. I am using gtkradient for mp. And i'm using the multiplayer part of the game to try get into it. Does anyone know how i can solve this problem? Thanks
superdude201 Posted August 10, 2002 Author Posted August 10, 2002 It says that theres no such file called tatooinetown.bsp but it compiled properly as far as i know.
superdude201 Posted August 11, 2002 Author Posted August 11, 2002 Ok thanks i've never seen anywhere where it tells u to say that. I'll try that thanks.
superdude201 Posted August 11, 2002 Author Posted August 11, 2002 Well that didn't work it still says that it can't find it or there isn't such a file
Manquesa Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 make sure the .bsp file is in your base/maps folder. If not, then move it there or else you'll have to type in the full path when you devmap -- devmap c:\ProgramFiles\blah\blah\blah .. .. .. blah(name of map). Just move it to the base/maps folder, it's so much easier.
superdude201 Posted August 11, 2002 Author Posted August 11, 2002 Well i save my map files in there so when i compile it allways compiles it there already
Joben Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 I have an unsatifying but quite possible solution (ive done this myself): You are typing the name in wrong when you try to load it. ...i have no idea what Wes Marrakesh was talking about with the stuff about pure servers o_O seems totaly unrelated. But just out of curiosity is this a MP or SP map?
superdude201 Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 Its a multiplayer map and i've tried getting on it more than once and each time it comes up with that it doesn't exist so i don't think i am spelling it wrong but i could be wrong but i check before i press enter
UniKorn Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 sv_pure 0 is needed, for the simple reason that if sv_pure is 1 then it will only look in the pakfiles make sure that you type map mymap and not map mymap.bsp make sure that the map is located in the right directory, and that it compiled fine. That should do the trick.
superdude201 Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 Well i do type it as devmap or map tatooinetown. And i did it with sv_pure 0 but it still didn't work
UniKorn Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Is there a bsp file in your gamedata/maps folder?
superdude201 Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 THERES ONE IN THE GAMEDATA/BASE/MAPS FOLDER edit:oops didn't know it was in caps
superdude201 Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 I dunno what i did but it worked and i didn't put that sv_pure 0 in.
