superdude201
For some reason after i compile my level why when i type \devmap tatooinetown does it not work. I am using gtkradient for mp. And i'm using the multiplayer part of the game to try get into it. Does anyone know how i can solve this problem? Thanks

Wes Marrakesh
you need to type sv_pure 0 first.
superdude201
Ok thanks i've never seen anywhere where it tells u to say that. I'll try that thanks.
superdude201
Well that didn't work it still says that it can't find it or there isn't such a file
Manquesa
make sure the .bsp file is in your base/maps folder. If not, then move it there or else you'll have to type in the full path when you devmap -- devmap c:\ProgramFiles\blah\blah\blah .. .. .. blah(name of map). Just move it to the base/maps folder, it's so much easier.
superdude201
Well i save my map files in there so when i compile it allways compiles it there already
Joben
I have an unsatifying but quite possible solution (ive done this myself): You are typing the name in wrong when you try to load it. ...i have no idea what Wes Marrakesh was talking about with the stuff about pure servers o_O seems totaly unrelated. But just out of curiosity is this a MP or SP map?
Emon
The sv_pure 0 was needed for Q3, it's not for JO.
superdude201
Its a multiplayer map and i've tried getting on it more than once and each time it comes up with that it doesn't exist so i don't think i am spelling it wrong but i could be wrong but i check before i press enter
UniKorn
sv_pure 0 is needed, for the simple reason that if sv_pure is 1 then it will only look in the pakfiles make sure that you type map mymap and not map mymap.bsp make sure that the map is located in the right directory, and that it compiled fine. That should do the trick.
superdude201
Well i do type it as devmap or map tatooinetown. And i did it with sv_pure 0 but it still didn't work
