Ready Wan
I'm setting up a lan for this weekend and I'm a bit confused with this statement from Raven: set g_saberTraceSaberFirst to "1" only for duel modes, set it to "0" for all other modes. This will make the saber combat last longer (because blocks work more frequently) in duel mode, but they will be shorter in other modes. I'm running a dedicated server using the option in the JKO setup screen. After it starts the server, do I type: set g_saberTraceSaberFirst0 ? we're running CTF games and FFA games with guns and sabers enabled. How can I set this up in the best way? thanks! -RW
Deetox187
Well the best way would be to make an autoexec.cfg and put the command in there so it will work automatically when you start the server. btw its g_sabertracesaberfirst 0 (needs the space)
Ready Wan
this command makes sabers more damaging right? is there any way to enter in this command from the white box (command console that appears when you click the dedicated server option)? Ready Wan
0 means the saber doesnt block as much and 1 means that the saber blocks more? do I have that correct?
thehomicidalegg
this afects the blocking, on 0 it'll be like 1.2 and on 1 is what it is like now
Ready Wan
thank you very much. at our lan I used my laptop to run as a dedicated server, just running it from the multiplayer screen and selecting LAN server in the options. In the white console I typed in the above command. It was hard to tell at times if it was taking affect... I thought the difference might be more obvious. we were playing FFA with guns and the saber command set to
