mariners2001 Posted August 22, 2002 Share Posted August 22, 2002 As some of you know, I created an Emperor Palpatine skin based off the Tyrion model (you can find it at jediknightii.net, jk2files.com, massassi.net). Anyway, I've recently updated it with a textured and fixed-all-together robe, better face and shadings, etc. Here's a pic: http://www.geocities.com/robinhawk/palpatine.txt What I'm getting to is that with the new Emperor Palpatine model on it's way out anyday (hopefully), does anyone want me to release this updated skin or not. If so, I'll submit it to all those file sites (assuming they'll be put up ). I'd just like an opinion. EDIT: Here's the download available on some temporary webspace. Grab it while it's hot! I sent in about 3 different skins two weeks ago and none have been posted. Don't know what's up. Massassi.net has posted them fine and without any problems. It's been the case with a lot of files I've seen. On a side note, how the hell can I get my hands on the original palpatine skin files to make my own? I read in the huge thread about how the model is almost ready to go but they need help making a Holonet(hologram) skin/shader for the model. Well, I've started work on just such a shader, and tunces won't reply to me, so I started doing it on kyle instead to see if I could pull off the full effect. If anyone else reading this post wants to help me post a hologram shader WIP pics, I'd appreciate it. In the coming school weeks I'm going to see if my college will grant me web space. From now on any model I make will come with a SDK so anyone can skin him before the model comes out.
