KMan
You don't skin the tags, they are not imported into the game. They are used as reference points that tell the game where and in what direction certain pieces are attached.
-Chrono_MOT-
the tags need to be separate from the model. your mesh should look like this when you are done: tag_flash tag_parent (if applicable) saber_core...etc...etc
icepool
How do you make the skin texture now. I figured out the tags but the skin is confusing me. I actually got the model into mdviewer and it needs a skin so I guess the material you add to the groups isnt the skin? Also when I converted it to a glm and then pk3 and tried to load it in game it said it was over 1000 verticies wich makes no sense since I just remodeled it and made it 678 verticies. So any help would be apreciated. Thanks
-Chrono_MOT-
when you redo a model in milkshape, you have to recompile with the QC file and reload it into ModView. Other than that, extensive skinmapping tutorials for sabers can be found at http://www.polycount.com
