Mazellion
I recently had to reinstall Jedi Outcast because I installed Win2k on my machine. Now, in non-mod mode its just fine, but whenever I load JediMod 1.3 or JediPlus 3.1, I notice that several things on the menus are white are greyscale, and in game, the custom sabers looks like a bunch of black and white boxes, and there's a constant yellow warning message above that says something about "null Shader" (I can't remember the exact words). I tried removing them and replacing the mod folders with no sucess. Anybody have any idea why they're corrupted now? I never had this problem before. Deetox187
well all i can tell you is not to use jedimod 1.3, that was a fake version released by some loser, it might even contains a virus.
Mazellion
Hmmm....well, I did unknowingly installed that at first, but later I learned it was a fake and just installed JediMod 1.2. Could that be why the mods don't load right? (I didn't actually play with JediMod 1.3, so it was never run)
Mazellion
It's like several image files are corrupted, so they appear white or greyscale. The console is almost unreadable because its pure white around the borders. Doesn't anybody know what is wrong, or at least seen similar problems? Mazellion
This is the error message that is spammed on the chatline in game: WARNING: RE_AddPolyToScene: NULL poly shader Note: Since the forum won't let me color it yellow, I had to use the next best color. SeraphimII
Make sure you're only using those mods in multiplayer not single player. Did you install them correctly? (Seperate folders for each mod in your gamedata folder, not your base folder)
Mazellion
Yep, seperate folders. And this is in multiplayer. Basically, I installed them as per its instructions (extracted to GameData folder so the files go where they belong). This did not happen beforehand on my JO installation on my old WinME OS. Since I had to clean install Win2K (which I installed for separate reasons) and thus wiping away the old OS, I had to reinstall Jedi Outcast. Right off the bat, the mods are causing this weird problem, and I can't understand why. There's far less junk in the base folder than before (because I decided most of the skins & levels I had could be redownloaded later if necessary). SeraphimII
Heh...Try reinstalling your mods? Did you update you're drivers (Yes I know, runs fine normally, but it never hurts to). If those dont work...kick it...hard.
Mazellion
I reinstalled them....even deleting the mod folders and the files they put in \base folder, and there still is a problem. It seems something goes wrong as the mod loads. Certain things like the slider in the model list appears pure white, and others are white, varying greyscales, and black. Even the lightsaber looks like a bunch of black and white boxes in the game. Yet if no mod is loaded, everything is the way it should be. Why would loading a mod cause certain images to become black, greyscale, and/or white boxes?
SeraphimII
missing textures for the saber. Try redownloading them and reinstalling them.
Mazellion
It seems some PK3 files in the base folder were causing the conflict (you mentioned saber textures and I remembered something odd in some of the PK3 files). Deleting them eliminated my problem.
SeraphimII
Woot! Glad I could be a slight...but not really aid to your problem. Even tho I really didn't do anything, but take random stabs in the dark. Enjoy the mods.
