yodie
and if u can, is it possible to open a door and make water poor out?
Karshaddii
Waterfalls--if you want them to look good-- are made with patch meshes. If you would like a reference--check out the second yavin swamp level by Raven--The ATST level. When you come to the point where you see the first enemy ATST--look to your far up-right. You will see a tiny waterfall (compared to the ATST) pouring into a small pond. It is possible to get up there to examine it. Alot of people missed that when they played the game I bet. So make a patch mesh--bend it however you like--and then texture it with the yavin_waterfall texture (I think thats what it's called) As for the water pouring through the door. Yes...it is possible. But I don't know how to do it--and I am NOT going to blame it on scripting = )
wedge2211
you could make the waterfall brush into a func_train or func_door and make it "open" into the room or something...
Karshaddii
Hmm....But it would only fill the size of the door opening--and having a narrow, but deep track of water in the middle of a room does not look very convincing = )
SunBurN
make it a narrow room
Slunker
Perhaps just make nonsolid/invisible patch meshes that appear when you open the door?
yodie
how do i make these patches?
Slunker
Check out the tutorials here: http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/index.html Rich has made some of the finest jk2radiant tutorials around... I used them to learn, and look at me, now! *frowns* Well, I'm doing all right, anyway... there's a basic lesson on curves, though, in General Concepts 102, and that'll teach you how to use patch meshes. -Slunker
wedge2211
No no, I meant make a "door" that is a brush the same dimensions as the room, starts open (invisible because it's beyond the room's walls), and toggles "closed" to fill the room (with water) completely!
