Guest Darth Wart
About a couple weeks ago, every time I come here a bunch of ads pop up in separate windows. It's annoying. That never used to happen. Is it just me? Does JediKnight.net need money or something? I'd expect that kind of thing from porn sites, but not here. Incidentally, I have Internet Explorer... Does anybody know if there's a way of setting the preferences so that such separate ad windows are not allowed to pop up unless you've specifically requested them? I don't think there is, but I thought I'd ask. ------------------ Wart Get your free JPB guide at: http://jedipowerbattlesguide.homestead.com/JPB.html

Jedi SuperBuen
Netscape rules Yeah a few little windows aren't a big deal, I mean it's basically paying for us being here (we tolerate ads on tv & the radio, what's different with the internet?) And as for JK.net needing money... which site doesn't ------------------ You can do it your own way Just as long as it's done just how I say... Guest Darth Wart
You guys mean to tell me that when you're using Netscape those little windows can't open? I'm on it! Is this automatic, or do you set it in the preferences? ------------------ Wart Get your free JPB guide at: http://jedipowerbattlesguide.homestead.com/JPB.html
Guest Amarant
You can make it so that no windows can pop up in IE, too... Tools Internet Options Advanced (Tab) Under Browsing, uncheck the "Launch browser windows in a seperate process".
Guest Darth Wart
I have IE 5.0, and that checkbox isn't there where you said it was. We must have different versions. I pretty much figured out the situation. Those annoying little windows will open in Netscape just as easily as IE; the thing is if you have Java enabled. Not knowing what Java was, I enabled it and now the little windows open in Netscape same as they do in IE.
