ondrahosek
Could somebody tell me how to import existing XSI files into my map through GtkRadiant 1.2.10? I have tried the Mapping/Leveling section, and they redirected me here. After that, maybe there will be one map more... Thanks for your help in advance. Darth Vigrid
I don't know anything about mapping, but I don't think it is possible to import .xsi files into maps. XSI files are used to assemble .glm's (or models) using carcass.
KMan
Yeah, the .xsi stuff you are talking about has to do with SP and MP player models. This would not be used for map models or mapping in general.
ondrahosek
OK, let's put it this way. Is there a way to import downloaded models into my map and what file extension do they have for both SP and MP?
Darth Vigrid
Maybe, you should propose this question in the mapping forum. They would probably be able to offer more help.

Twisted Vertex
Ok I didn't read the mapping section....however I am assuming that you stated the same thing as your first post. That your looking to import a .xsi file.......Well first off the .xsi file is strictly for the modes that move...ya know, your player characters. Now the formate your looking for is the md3 > .glm This conversion can be achieved by using the md3 viewer. the md3 viewer does a nifty conversion from md3 to ghoul2 format. To make an md3 your going to need an exporter...Milkshape already has one built in....and you can download one for gmax, and max by using a nifty search function called GOOGLE.. ondrahosek
OK, I'll read the text of yours some three more times (I'm not an expert at understanding 3D-modelling techniques) and then I will do as you say. Some questions may yet pop up, but I will post a new reply later. I surely know about Google, as I've got the Toolbar. And I search more than too much with it... OK, I will check the conversion and so on.
