Server Help

I have figured out how to start a server...but how do I become the "server master" (the person that runs the server) I can join my own server but I can't kick people or change anything......any help would be apreciated. if you are interested in joining the Sith Outcast Clan then check out the web site at http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/sithclan

You should be able to kick people directly from the server console or by using the rcon password while ingame. You'll need to set your rcon password and suck in your server.cfg file.

You need to setup an Rcon password. Do the following:

 

Start your server and make sure that it is dedicated. Now when the game closes to the server box type this into the command line:

 

/set rconpassword (your password here)

 

Now start the game again and join your own server. It will show as a lan game for you. Now as soon as you enter the game do the following. Go into the consle and type the same thing as above. (/set rconpassword (same pass you just did in the command line)

 

Now you have access to the server. Here are some basic commands. Youmust use /rcon before each command.

 

/rcon map_restart

 

/rcon status

 

/rcon kick (player name)

 

/rcon Clientkick (client number...number to far left in status screen)

 

/rcon Clientban

 

/rcon map (map name like ffa_bespin)

 

Good luck. Oh I would use Jedirunner to setup the server. Its faster and has great directions as well as lots of options. Get it from http://runner.gameadmins.com/
