ShockV1.89
Anybody have any idea how to open a Linksys routers ports? Whenever I do it, it never seems to work. I usually go to the advanced tab, then port forwarding, and put in the router assigned last digit of the IP for my comp. But it doesnt work...? Mods, if you want to move this to the technical help section, go ahead. Or lock it and ask me to repost there. But I figured I'd get more responses here... NerfYoda
Arent you supposed to enter the full IP address of the computer you want the port fowarded to?
ShockV1.89
Well, my router assigns all the computers the following IP. 192.168.1.* The * is the three digit number that is specific to a certain computer. You just use winipcfg to find out yours, then put in the last three digits. At least, I think thats how you do it...

Yup, that's the default for Linksys routers, but if I rmemeber right in the port fowarding section you'll have to enter the full IP address. I had a Linksys router about a year ago & I believe that's what I did.
