WhiteShdw
Open folder? Weird. In GTK i just use rightclick in the 2d window and all the NPC's are under NPC. Do you have the Sp project settings set up? You need that to be able to see them.
Takeoffyouhoser
well see...when i select misc model... a window appears with folders in it. these folders have the models in them, and when i click on Kejim, it loads some models that dealt with Kejim and so forth.. the problem is that i cannot see the model from the npc list, its jsut a red box. is this normal ? starunner
Yeah, when you add an NPC to the map (say, NPC_stormtrooper) Radiant displays a box. -I think it's actually a representation of the NPC's "bounding box." Once you've compiled the map and got it in game the NPC should be present and correct. I guess for map objects, Radiant displays the model itself so that mappers can more precisely position it. Since NPCs are usually moving all over the place, accuracy isn't really required so it just draws a box.
WhiteShdw
This is a bit off subject, but i just want to say to Starunner that i thought his Coruscant Promenade map was excellent. And if you want to get rid of the watersound, you can always put a little clipping box over the offending area. If you make it only 1 grid unit thick, the players won't ever know they are not actually touching the area. Another thing. The problem happens when you use certain shaders, so what you can also do is use the picture the shader uses and make your own custom texture with that, by renaming it for example. I hope we see some more maps from you
starunner
Thanks WhiteShdw. I am still considering putting together a larger Coruscant FFA. That said, I'm also in the middle of creating a single player mission at the moment, so I can't make any promises that it'll happen very quickly. I'll do my best.
