Marth Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 HELLP CAN"T GET MAP TO APPEAR IN JK2 I use JK2 radiant what is wrong this is my first map too I'll keep trying to figure it out but if someone knows the problem please tell me 1 more thing where is the status bar i can't find it maybe ill see the problem if i find out where it is. Whoever helpes me ill give them a copy of my map before i send it to the internet Moderators, can you help? Ok how about i rephrase it : I can't play the map i made can anyone help?
Pope2k Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 Did you compile the map? To what directory did you save your map file in JK2Radiant? What error message do you receive when you try to run the map? If we're going to help you then we need more specific information.

Shadyz Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 To play a map youve created you must first BSP FUll Vis it....which allows you to get the .bsp file. This is also called compiling. I suggest you get the link to Rich Diesals mapping tutorial site.
Marth Posted October 15, 2002 Author Posted October 15, 2002 I do but when i put the bsp i only get <mapname>.pak, <mapname>.map not bsp. should i just rename them? I just renamed <mapname>.map - <mapname>.bsp i went to load and it gave me this : Cm load maps/<mapname>.bsp has wrong version number (1935764579 should be 1) what do i do now?
idontlikegeorge Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 no, if a bsp aint being made there is something wrong with your .map try to find a junk.txt file, or look in the process window for any errors also, we dont need to see/play your first map
