Old Rep Knight
What time frame is of more interest to you? Era of KotOR, era of the prequels, era of the original trilogy, or the era post-trilogy? Why? I am still thinking about my answer to this question and I will post it later... covenant_bad
Id definatly say that the peak of the Jedi/Sith war really interests me. Just imagine how they would go to battle?! And all the lightsabre duels occuring everyday.
Old_Ben
Although playing a game in the Old Republic time really interests me, I am partial to the origianal trilogy time. It was the first thing I was introduced to in Star Wars and has always been my favorite.

Old Rep Knight
Hmmm. I don't know if the prequels are really the prime of the Jedi. They're about to get wiped out. I think I've heard it referred to as their Golden Age because the Sith have been extinct (somewhat dormant actually) and they've pretty much gone untested for a couple thousand years. The Clone War is set in motion by Darth Sidious (aka Senator Palpatine) but there are only battles between Jedi and Sith (so far) not an all out war leading to peace (like KotOR should tell). I voted the KotOR era on the poll mainly because it is the timeframe I am most eager to learn new things about. I'm pretty up to date on the original trilogy and the prequels but I know little about post-trilogy lore. I know there are books out taking up the story after ROTJ. I guess I am more interested in the KotOR time because that is when all the traditions, etc of the Jedi Knights/Masters really came into being. Through the movies the Jedi and all their diversity get reduced to Luke and the New Jedi Order after the movies is all built from Luke. Some knowledge of the way things used to be undoubtedly survived but I think, right now anyway, the story of how everything got to Episode I is really intriguing. For those who also admit to being ST fans, it's kind of like the new Enterprise series, instead of going beyond Deep Space Nine and Voyager they are going back to explain how everything developed into The Original Series. That's my two cents.
Taos
Ok, but how about the the prequals and the era just before the prequals...... The reason it was the prime of the jedi was because there (at least at the time) was no enemy of the jedi........no sith. At least not a very big enemy as to where the jedi should feel threatened....... You didn't mess with the jedi at this time.........as we know, it was "the calm before the storm" unfortunately........
Old Rep Knight
"... what I told you was true, from a certain point of view." Of course, I see your point. I guess personally I haven't thought of the Jedi as going out in their prime (they should be unbeatable in their prime). Back in KotOR they whoop the Sith out of existence. Then there is no longer a need for as many Jedi and they become hundreds instead of the thousands there were. The only reason the Sith get a chance to come back is because the Jedi have passed their prime, from a certain point of view. You're right you didn't mess with the Jedi in their prime, but they get messed with in the prequels, maybe even go as far as to say they are manipulated by the Dark Side because they can't see the Sith, so I personally wouldn't say they are in their prime. : )

Old Rep Knight
I know I rate as Bantha Fodder being new to the forum. It's nitpicking on my part about calling the pre-prequels or the prequels the "prime" of the Jedi. I could use the force to make you see things my way But I think a more civilized solution can be found Ha, ha.
