no way an 8mg card will work, 16 possiblly but no way an 8

most games need at 16 now i think so obviously SWG will require at least 16mg, if not 32mg

Buying and installing a bargain 32meg GF card is cheap now due to the release of the GF4.

Im afraid i seriously doubt an 8meg card will be able to cope, even on the lowest settings.

Dude,

I just picked up a 64 meg MX400 Pro for less than $50.

I would say the main worry you may have is if you have an AGP X1,2 or X4 slot in that old of a montherboard.

If you have a PCI bus card, You can still find VooDoo 3 accelerators hanging around, or upgrade your PC like I just did, just for SWG!

8megs is a joke now a days

yeah... but recomended does not mean "needed" :D

16 mb is most likely needed.

Needed usually means minimum requirements, and that equals bad performance. :p

More and more of the newer games coming out will need at least 32MB of RAM to run acceptably. Getting anything under is a waste of money.

If you have 650$ or €, you can buy yourself a relatively new pc, with all the goodies inside, at ebay or similar sites, which will run this game nicely... so if you have the money, caugh it up man, this is Star Wars :D
