Darsha_x1 Posted October 20, 2002 Posted October 20, 2002 i was wondering if Rhino 3d can support outcast models?
Madjai Posted October 20, 2002 Posted October 20, 2002 if it can export to md3 then you can make weapons and static models. but to make player models you need 3dsmax
Darsha_x1 Posted October 20, 2002 Author Posted October 20, 2002 where would be a good place to get 3dsmax?
El Sitherino Posted October 20, 2002 Posted October 20, 2002 oh cant wait til you tell him how much it costs
Madjai Posted October 20, 2002 Posted October 20, 2002 the wait is over well actually i dont know the exact price, but for like full version 5 im sure its in the thousands. but i think you can find used older versions on ebay or i think there are student prices, but its still a load of cash.
Araegon Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 rhino can be used to MAKE the models, but not to put them ingame. to put them ingame, milkshape is the only thing i think you can use. and you can get full versions of max, rhino, and Maya. how? well, i cant really say it how *cough*kazaa*cough* cause i could get in trouble. but i hope this was helpful.
El Sitherino Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 yup im sure it was. heh. spread the love help your neighbor. sorry i think i should stay away from whiteout for a while.
Darth Loki Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 to put them ingame, milkshape is the only thing i think you can use. actually, the only program you can get models in game with is 3ds max.
Shadyz Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 I was lucky my uncle is an architect and he ses alot of artwork programs. Got my copy of max from him
KMan Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 I don't have to tell you why this thread is being closed... But Rhino can make the model but you will need to get it into another program (max, gmax, or milkshape) to rig (set up the skeleton, and export it to a format that the jk2 tools can recognize.
