Installing new characters, etc.

First of all I love this game and the multplayer:D...I just got this game 3 days ago and I love playing it, however i notice that some people are carryingdifferent weapons, (double edge sabers and double sabers), and some people are different characters, (vader, etc.). I would like to have this option also but...

 

 

How do you install maps, mods, characters, sabers, in order to make your game play look more fun?

 

 

I know you pick a file and then download it...

But download it to where exactly? Which file do you install it to? Do you have to make a new file /folder for the download? Do you have to unzip it? And if so do you have to move certain files to different folders? Is there different spots for different downloads? Are the models the characters or the skins?

 

I am totally lost here! I barely use my computer for games except for now with this one and i have to be honest, I am totally new at this programming and computer inputing stuff except for what I use it for work, finances and mail.

 

Please help. And please be patient with this new guy...

the best thing you can do is read the read me file that comes with the files. they usually have directions on how to install there.

 

but most things like skins and maps go in your base folder usually:-

 

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base

 

for getting skins etc try these

i have the same problem. i put all my skins or maps into the C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base

but i can't use them inside the game. i go to the setup screen to LOAD MODS and i click it and nothing happens, and nothing changes inside the game, multi or single. i downloaded the jedicouncil map and i haven't been able to do anything with it so if anybody can help me with this, i'd appreciate it, thanks:confused:

Mods go into a seperate folder in your Gamedata directory:

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\JediPlus\

There's an example

 

Skins, Models and Maps go into your base folder.

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base\

 

Maps should appear on the create server screen.

Models and Skins should appear on the Player selection screen when you join a game. Also under setup, player.

Modification like JediMod appear under the Mod screen under setup.

To play the map, go to the create server screen.

Also type map jedicouncilgc2 in the console in MP to load it
