thanx, well any ideas or suggestions...i mean ANYTHING, and this goes out to anyone just reply to this...all suggestions are wanted and needed

ok man, here's my comments and suggestions ...

 

- i think the grip/handle of the gun needs to be pushed towards the back more towards the butt-thing that rests in the shoulder.

 

- make something between the grip/handle and the barrel that would be used as a grip for the other hand.

 

- make the scope bigger ... maybe exaggerate it a bit (something like the lenses on cameras you might see on sporting event sidelines, but not quite as big)

 

- put a silencer or something on the end of the barrel, or just make the end of it bigger/fatter than the barrel itself. and if you DO put a silencer on it, take off the little targeting element (son't know what it's called) from the end of the barrel.

 

- don't know HOW it would look in-game, but it might be cool to model some kind of strap that would be used (although not in the game itself)

i like the overall design of the gun. and like you implied, the skin will make it better!

currently, i have to redesign the handle, so this will work...the handle will be aligned for all normal characters, no thats not a new effect, but my coder will put a new gfx in there...

i was just thinking about changing the sounds and removing any physical sight of the actual beam or bullets, to give the feel of bullets.

It'd be pretty cool to have a sniper rifle like Zam's in Episode II...that super long rifle she had...wasn't huge...but it was hella long. That'd be a pretty good idea, in my oppinion.

I have an idea. If this is possible (I am not a modeller/skinner guy at all), you could have the bullet in the front and a hazy white stream that comes out the back like the sniper rifle on Halo. If it won't work then getting rid of the beam would be fine.

Extended Universe - which book I cannot for the life of me remember, does have a plot where Han is framed for a mmurder during a rally. The acyual culprit used was was said to be the finest and most skill boasting (boasting, not boosting) sniper rifle blaster built, a Night Stinger.

 

Can only hold 7 shots per cell due to it power. Virtually silent. Deadly.

 

Not really a game for JKII:MP, but for the Strike Force team, such a weapon could be good for any potential sniper-type class...

Err - guys, I think you MAY have missed the point of my post...

 

How many references to people using bullet ammo weapons (aka - slug throwers) have there REALLY been in the SW Continuum?

 

There is an actual energy weapon sniper rifle available for use in the Extended Universe that would make an excellent weapon, with the nice 7 shot thing going on (prevents long term camping and newbs camping & going to spray fire head shots...) which also fits in to the Universe, and you still want to have it as a slug thrower! :rolleyes:

 

DUDE - get with the program! An SW sniper class would be great, but only if it is distinctive from every other bleeding sniper class from Half Life to UT to Quake and their mods and the more besides.... See my point?

 

Keep it in the Continuum. ;)
