AKPiggott
Basically, I want my SP level to be saber only. So I won't be putting any weapon pickups down. However, when I kill a rifle-wielding enemy, he drops his gun for me to pick up. How can you stop an enemy dropping his weapon on death as well as making his weapon non-forcepullable? Also is there a way to make the pickup void? i.e. He drops his weapon, but you can't pick it up, or you can pull his gun but you won't be able to add it to your inventory. Covax
Well... ONE thing you can do is set the player ammo limit to 0 for those weapons... I belive that you alter that in the weapons.dat file.
AKPiggott
Yeah, I've done that already. It doesn't stop the player picking the actual weapon up though. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.
Covax
Another lame idea: I know that the model that is 'dropped' is NOT always the same as the one 'carried' by npc's, from trying to get the shotgun to replace the crossbow. So.. what I'm saying is to make the dropped model 'invisible'.. and remove the weapon pick-up sounds.. and blank out the weapon icons..
AKPiggott
Hmm... an effective way to simulate it, I may use it as a last resort if nothing else works. Cheers mate.
Emon
And if you do that, make sure you do the first suggestion, setting ammo to 0. It maybe be a cheap hack, but it works. Heck, my driveable swoop I'm working on for SP is nothing but cheap hacks.
Emon
I found this in the ICARUS manual, you might want to try it out and see what you can do with it. SET_LOCK_PLAYER_WEAPONS “true/false” Makes it so player cannot switch weapons
AKPiggott
Tried that already Emon. It doesn't let me force jump either. Everytime I try, you get Kyle saying "I better not try to attract too much attention". He also says it when you try to change weapon.
