VoodooGod Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 I just decided to reinstall Grim Fandango (best game ever) the other day, and I started playing it. I ran into some problems that involved being in 32 bit color, so I switched to 16 bit. I got through a lot of errors that way. Now, though, right after Manny hits Nick in the face in Year 2 just after releasing the Sea Bee from jail, the game crashes. I've tried everything I can think of. Turning off sound, turning off hardware accelerator, installing the update, switching to 640x480. I'm using a P4 1.8Ghz machine with 640MB of RAM and WinXP. If you need anymore information, let me know. Thanks in advance.
Darth Eggplant Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 I think with computers you need to have several just like shoes. a computer for playing hoops and a computer for the office and a computer for hiking, working on construction sites etc. you could also try cleaning your cd drive or doing maintanence on your computer. dull as it is I run a virus scan, disc doctor and speed disc norton on my machine each sunday night to keep it orderly. and I have a maxel disc cleaner for the drives. plus if I really remember once a month; can of air inside for dust bunny removal. another thing I did was take the disc's from the original gf folder cool as it is and I placed them into seperate clear jewel cases because the cardboard might be scratching them. I wish you luck cause I am heading into year 3 soon and I hear people have trouble with that level.
