Guest Acid_Rain327
If any of you recieve an e-mail with the subject "ILOVEYOU", please do NOT open it! It's the subject heading being used for an epidemic of a PC Virus known as the "Love Bug". Delete any messages with this heading immediately, and not NOT open them. ------------------ <a onMouseover="alert('Get Medievel on you I will! Guest Darth Wart
Yeah, I heard about that just today. The computers at my girlfriend's work were knocked dead by this virus: it took everything, .doc's, .mp3's, excel documents, everything. They're still down. Apparently the virus will "send itself" to everybody in your address book. Man, if those pricks who make those viruses just used their ingenuity to make money... ...if they want to waste time geeking out, they can always come in HERE. ------------------ Wart There is a complete online JPB strategy guide available at: http://JediPowerBattlesGuide.homestead.com/JPB.html
Master Qui-Gon
<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">There is an updated version of this virus. The subject header is now "FWD: JOKE.” If you are using Windows 98, disable the Windows Scripting Host. This will help prevent infection. @$%! Microsoft. If they payed a little more attention to the quality of their product instead of forcing people to use a crappy one, this virus would be harmless. It cripples because Internet Explorer and Outlook are now tied to Windows. The virus uses Microsoft Outlook to spread. If you open the file it will forward itself to everybody in your Outlook address book. Incidentally, everything Microsoft could dig up is now tied to Windows. (we wouldn't want anybody putting a non-Microsoft product on their computer now would we). If you use Macintosh or Linux, you are 100% safe from this virus. Anyone running Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or both Windows 95 and Internet Explorer 4.0 with the Active Desktop Update or Internet Explorer 5.0 is vulnerable because the virus needs Microsoft Outlook to spread. ------------------ Master Qui-Gon, Jedi Master Always remember, your focus determines your reality. Master Qui-Gon
<font face="BernardMod BT"><font color="green1">Most of us that work for a living are forced to use Microsoft PC's, ya dingleberry. That's why they're an illegal monopoly. Ya know, dirty business practices to force companies to use their bubblegum software. Remember that? ------------------ Master Qui-Gon, Jedi Master Always remember, your focus determines your reality.
