As for pictures in sigs...we used to have them, but people started putting larger and larger pictures in their sigs, and it was eating a lot of bandwidth, and making forum pages load really slow for those on slower connections. So they were disabled, and a decision was made to just keep avatars. You have to remember that there is a great deal of traffic on LucasForums due to the large number of games and interests it covers.
