I did a bad thing...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\1.0]

"CDPath"="D:"

"Source Path"="D:"

"Source Dir"="D:\\"

If you open up a RegEdit, you should be able to change these values so it reads from your CD drive (D:\) which should hopefully fix it. If you are unable to do that, I might be able to export a .reg file with the values in so you can open it and merge it into the System Registry.

"Install Path"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast"

"Launcher"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\\JediOutcast.exe"

"InstallType"=dword:00000001

"Installed"=dword:00000002

"Magic"=dword:00092778

That's basically what I've got for those.

I installed into the default directory :)

See if any of those are different, if so, maybe change them to see if there's any difference.

Try restarting, make sure the disk is in the right drive, make sure it's clean, restart, and have a go at trying to load up JK2.

I have 2 drives, and I have no problems with that error, unless the disk is not in the drive. :p

Reinstalling might help. Can you run the jk2sp.exe and jk2mp.exe files fine? Or does the error come up when you try and start a game / connect to a server?

Check the CD for scratches, uninstall, clean the registry, clean install maybe even into a different directory:

C:\Program Files\Jedi Outcast\ for example.

I'm all out of ideas. It might be autorun that's messing it up.

I personally have mine disabled. :)

Maybe try disabling that if you can.
