If I Use Mace as Kyle in SP...

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I don't even know if this is the right forum for my question. Just would like to ask, how can I "surf off" the robe when I replace Kyle as Mace Windu? I think it is better to play Mace Windu in SP without the robes. But I can't remove the robes. Although I could do that when I create a new NPC.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance!

I had the same problem when I put the model in Party Crasher. Basically change the robe texture (in the SKIN) file to something that isn't rendered by the game engine (like "system\clip"). I've asked Toonces to make a version that doesn't have a robe mesh on it for my level, because it still causes some other problems.

Ok, now I can play with Mace Windu w/o robes as well as Qui-Gon in SP. But is there a way to disable that "hit" thing. I mean, the electricity like thing that appears to the body when hit by either the saber or a gun. Whenever SP Mace and Qui-Gon's hit, that "thing" appears and then resembles the robed-version. Can't explain it very much but I hope you got my point. :(

Is there any way to disable that? Probably it's somewhere in the configuration but I don't know where. THanks!

Actually you can just set that surface to "clear". Example:

robe,clear

torso_robe,clear

That's how Raven did it.

But this does not stop the surfaces from being drawn in the engine. You can still see them when you do a "showtris" command. I don't know anything about modeling, but maybe it's possible to set these surfaces off by default, because i have no idea how to turn off surfaces completely in a SP player replacement. NPC's are easy, you can just turn of surfaces in the NPC file, but i haven't figured out SP replacements.

Anyway, i did a SP replacement for Mace, based on the 1.1 version. You can download it here: Sp_mace

I'll also post it in the Showcase forum.
