tarafudge
As you read in the title this is a mapping oppertunity that will strike Jedi Knight II nice and hard. Its a daring attempt, and requires alot of co-operation with each other. The map will be identical to a game world. The game, "Perfect Dark". The map, "Skedar Attack Ship". We need people skilled in angles, curves, texturing, and someone with the eyes to help the other mappers to create an identical envirement. This oppertunity is very very rare, to have a chance for mappers to learn from each other and create an awsome map surpassing any other seen. This project will be hard to complete requiring alot of time. The project will be known as simply "Project Perfect Dark SAS" or PPDSAS. Reply to this forum or e-mail me for a faster sign-up. I will be responsible for posting game shot pictures from the N64 game, because i have a digital camera or well my grandmother does anyways. I will also pitch in and help in various places in the map, well actually I will pitch in as much as possible. There is no deadline for the map nearly a goal to achieve the creation of the map in 2-weeks. Now lets get to buisness and show Perfect Dark fans what we can do. -Mike (P.S this forum will be updated spontaniously and as much as possible with pictures and text being as most specific as possible.) tarafudge
I forgot to add that users that do not have the game will be supplied with screen shots but i recommend that you have the game because it will be alot easier to work off of. May the force be with us. -Mike;)
Shadriss
Were I not working on a SP sequence of levels, I would be tempted to assist in this... that was a great level. However, I think I should point out that 2 weeks is a "pie in the sky" goal. At least a month, maybe longer, to tell the truth. I base this on the following : First, there are a lot of custom textures that have to be made and implemented. Second, as I recall, ,that level has a LOT of flashing lights, ,which means shaders galore, also taking a while to develop and get working. Third, Curves arent that easy to work with , frankly. They get easier after a while of working them, but... Let me put it this way - My big work to this point has been DOTF2. I had a floor plan given to me, along with pre-designed textures. And shaders. I even had help from three or four people. So basically, I had everything handed to me. It took 2 months, and it's a relatively small map, really. Don't let me discourage you, but I don't think two weeks is gonna happen.
tarafudge
I admit the goal is a little soon but a goal is not a deadline, im changing the goal to be 2 months. But a goal is not a deadline. I will be looking forward to starting the project soon. So Perfect Dark fans fire up your e-mail or post a reply to be included in the project. Fire up GTK or JK Radiant!
