Psyk0Sith
Step 1. create a box. Step 2. select the box, right click mouse button, go to convert or collapse to, then select editable mesh. Or use the modify panel (next to the create tab), go to the stack (right click) and select collapse to editable mesh.
Norrec Vizharan
*right-clicked, selected convert to- editable mesh, the box comes out with a diagnol line down the middle* same thing happened...
Psyk0Sith
What you are seeing is probably the edge of the tris that make up the quad face. There's nothing wrong there, go in sub-object mode, select verts and move them around. If you can do that then it works.
Norrec Vizharan
Thank you -very- much for your help, your right, that is what im seeing, but i think its not what i want. I'm trying to follow this tutorial http://www.flipcode.com/tutorials/spaceship/ Its box is different, how do i get that kind?
Psyk0Sith
That's just an option you need to check in the object properties, select the box, right click and select object properties, to the right, you'll see "show edges only" or something like that you need to check that box if it's not checked already. Those are called invisible edges...and you can do that tutorial even if you see them.
Norrec Vizharan
Ok, the box WAS checked. I unchecked it and rechecked it to make sure. i converted it into a mesh (i still did not see those "invisible lines") , I Dragged select face over the left half. Tried Delete, Backspace, and everything else, it deleted the two planes top and bottom, and the one of the far left. so im not doing something right... Psyk0Sith
Your max configuration might be different from mine, i never see invisible edges unless i change properties or make them visible in sub-object mode. Like i said, you can do that tutorial even with the edges visible.
