Swat Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 can any1 tell mi the difference between a model n a skin?? i can't get them rite
Psyk0Sith Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 I really hate it when people call my models skins.
Lord Tnuc Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 I really love your Yarael Poof skin, Psyko. I love the long neck...rawr. Joking, by the way
Psyk0Sith Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 I had nothing to do with the skin ...say thanks to Marz hehe
Swat Posted January 19, 2003 Author Posted January 19, 2003 so all that means a skin replaces the appearance of a model? (like darth maul skin over the existing luke in JKII, am i rite?) n a model means a new playable player. if it's not this reasoning then i dun get it
Psyk0Sith Posted January 19, 2003 Posted January 19, 2003 Take a look at this screenshot of my Saesee Tiin model (in progress) I'm building the mesh from scratch in 3D Studio Max and not painting over another 3D surface. It would be kind of hard to create horns and a head like his with only a skin dont you think? n a model means a new playable player. if it's not this reasoning then i dun get it You've got it right a player model is a new model and a skin is based on an existing model (like luke) but the textures are re-painted to get a different look.
