Hi everyone,

A petition has been subjected on petitionpetition.com by several Aayla Secura fans addressed to Lucasfilm, requesting that Aayla Secura appear in Episode III.

Aayla Secura is a blue Twi'lek Jedi Knight, seen in "Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones" where she was portrayed by Amy Allen. This character also features in several excellent Star Wars comics.

You can find lots of great info and images of Aayla on the Aayla Secura fansite.

You can see an image of Aayla here: aotc1.jpg

So we're looking to have as many people as possible to sign the petition, so especially if you're a Star Wars fan, go ahead and sign that petition. :)

You can sign the petition here: http://www.petitionpetition.com/cgi/petition.cgi?id=4964&action=read

This is the text of the petition:

" Dear Lucasfilm,

We, the undersigned, as appreciative fans of Star Wars and even more so of its character the blue Twilek Jedi Aayla Secura, kindly request that Aayla Secura appear again in Episode III, the next Star Wars movie.

If possible, we would like her to be visible in more scenes than in Episode II and have speaking lines. As fans we would not like to see this great characters death on screen.

In addition to Aayla Secura reappearing we politely ask that Ms. Amy Allen, who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II, reprised the role - instead of another actress or a computer generated version-.

Over the past months the already popular character of Aayla Secura has gained an ever increasing number of dedicated and avid fans, the character's popularity is still rising. There are many websites, webpages and forum threads dedicated to Aayla Secura. An official Hasbro Star Wars Action Figure of this character is even being produced.

Those involved with the creation of Aayla Secura have expressed

interest in seeing Aayla Secura return in Episode III.

In conclusion, we appreciative fans of Aayla Secura, feel that this

character has become increasingly popular and as such request that she reappears in Episode III.

Yours sincerely, "

So please go to the site and sign the petition if you want to see

more of this great character that is Aayla Secura! Thank you! :)

But you remember that Obi-wan tells luke that Darth Vader helped the Emperor hunt down and destroy the last of the Jedi, so obviously, Aayla Secura will die. I obviously don't know if it will be on screen or not because I am not in touch with G.L. on the matter ;)

I agree with you, AgentSmith. Your favourite Jedi Knight should return in Episode III...

... just in time to be sliced and diced by the one and only Count Dooku, who should, and probably will, destroy most of the Jedi before Darth Vader arrives and spoils all the fun! I believe that Mace Windu will be killed by Dooku, and probably will destroy the Jedi Temple on Coruscant before he is removed to make way for Vader, which I think is wrong: Count Dooku is by far the best ever character ever to grace the Star Wars universe, and should be treated with fear and respect by everyone who is involved with the Star Wars saga in one way or another (even fans).

I'm back, and there is nothing you can do to stop me!

I have to say, I disagree completely with Count_Dooku 2 - Darth Maul was easily the best character there ever was in the Star Wars movies to date. He was completely under-used due to the sheer volume of back-story that had to be fitted in, (although having said that, the bloody pod-race could have been chopped down to, I dunno, say, 2-3 minutes? Because let's be honest here, it was all about marketing the N64 game, wasn't it? )

Darth Maul was ridiculously killed off, and now that I think about it, Anakin's hand-copping-off incident was pretty lame as well... I've seen better timing in a lot of the theforce.net/theatre fan movies! I do have a lot of resepct fot Nick Gillard and his stunt co-ordination and fight sequence choreography, but damn those battle end sequences were lame.

I think they had to kill off Darth Maul in a really supremely lame way because he was obviously waaaaay too powerful, so they made him slip up to show that he wasn't all that great.

Has Ray Park, Ewan McGregor or GL said anything about that scene since?

Oh, and has Ray Park been hired for any of the stunts in Ep III ?

:evanpiel: <--- Yaddle, btw, also a member of Yoda's species, seen a few times in EP I, most memorably at the end ceremony...

Excellent, cheers AgentSmith, will do. I picked it up a few times and had a flick through, and yeah, the artwork was gorgeous. :D

I also read the book. Although it's fun, it's just so... I dunno, It's just not "Grrr" enough for Maul. I was looking for a back-story for him, and thought that was it, but it was just a story set after Episode I (won't say what it was about, 'cos I don't want to spoil the story for you, I know you're all going to rush out and buy it... :p ).

Which reminds me, what's the story with repulsorlift engines? If, say, a snowspeeder or a T-16 Skyhopper or something flew over your head, would you be forced to the ground? Something similar happened in the book, and it just sounded daft. I just wanted to know if the author had got it wrong, or if it actually happens in other EU stories. Anyone?

I haven't gotten the Darth Maul novel yet. I had thought of purchasing it once but it was still just out and hence rather expensive at that time. I might buy it sometime.

The Darth Maul TPB is indeed awesome, the artwork is stunning. :)

I'm not sure about that with repulsorlifts? I don't really know. I guess you could also be pushed down by the air displacement, no?
