Boarding!

another scenario: Grassy Plains

Gungans- Start on 1 of 2 spawn points; Swamps or Southern Plains. Gungans don't get vehicles as such, instead they get creatures which act as vehicles.

This means thier medics can heal thier vehicles too.

Trade Federation- Starts out in the Northern Plains or one of the 2 flanking positions to the NE and NW.

They play as any other civ (except Gungans) except to make them more unique they have no use for medics and the infantry is slightly weaker.

I like the Gungans part, but the Trade Fed sounds too much like GB. Remember that it's supposed to be about the player- a single Trade Fed battle droid- not about the hordes of battling droids. Sure, there'll be quite a lot of friendly bots (after all, this is a pitched battle scenario) but it's a player battle above all else.

Also, we should try to incorporate the Faambaas somehow.

Faambaas should be simple. t can be a fixed unit that can be destroyed. I think it would be a first objective. And anything fired from outside the shield arc, doesn't hurt it.

Does anybody else wonder why they jus didn't drive the tanks through the shields instead of wasting a couple hundred battle droids. . . .

Fixed?! It's one of the Gungan's UU's in GB for ****'s sake!

And that's a fairly generic game.

BF1942 is realistic without harming the gameplay (not seriosly anyway). I'm sure u could mount Fambaa's. But u shouldn't be able to shoot from them though.

Well, in the movie, they barely moved when the shields were. maybe they cant move when the shields are up. i dont know. i dont care that much about Gungans (because of JJ) to learn about them

Maybe the Fambaas could (as well as providing shields) be a kind of slow-moving, heavily-armoured troop transport. After all, wasn't there a troop-carrying box or something mounted on one fambaa's back in the Grassy Plains battle?

And I don't think they moved because they wanted to keep the shields in the same place.

And about the tanks: I assume you're referring to the MTT's (the really big assault mechs with lots of droids inside them). Well, it's much more effective to have hordes of droids advancing with the MTT's behind them than the MTT's having to get inside the shields and deploy all their droids in the midst of battle. If they'd done that, half the droids would've been lost before the battle had even begun.
