DX_Nadun_Hagar
I just made a simple level consisting of 1 room with windows. I get no compile errors but when i spawn inmy level and run around, i seem to be getting that HOM effect. The thing is is i made my skybox just like rich describes it. I tried it 2 ways. First i tried using caulk and applying the skies/stars shader like he said. but no good. Then i tried using the sky shader then applying bespin sky textures to it, Still no good. Dose anybody know why im getting this undesired effect? thanx, -=nadun=-
wedge2211
Check to see if your map has any leaks, or any caulk-textured surfaces that face the inside of the room. (Caulk is invisible in game, so if you look "through" a caulk brush into the void, you will see a HOM).
DX_Nadun_Hagar
Thanx for helping wedge. Well i fix the most part. Now i see the skybox except when i get real close the the windows then i get the HOM effect. Also, how do you rotate models with out messing that box around them up? -=nadun=-
wedge2211
You can't rotate models with the rotation tool, that's for brushes. Instead, you need to select your model, press "n," and add an "angle" key and whatever angle you want the model to point. Or, you could click one of the angle buttons in the entitiy window.
