Crazy_dog no.3
This is kind of like Rebellion. There are 2 modes of play- skirmish/multiplayer on a ground map and 2 conquer the galaxy campaigns (Clone Wars or Galactic Civil War). Multiplayer/skirmish is pretty simple. Basically RTT like in Eagle's thread. The campaigns are similiar to Rebellion, with a few major differences. 1) Civs- the civs are Hutt Cartel, Confideracy, Trade Fed, Republic, Wookiees, Empire/IR, Rebels/NR, Ewoks, Naboo and Gungans (the last 3 are playable only in skirmish/multiplayer. In campaign, they are NPC civs). 2) Battles- Battles are on both ground and space. NPC civs cannot take part in space battles. Space battles are handled in the same way as Rebellion. Ground battles are different. For each planet (gameplay-wise, there should be like 25 planets instead of 200) there is a huge map, about 2x the size of the current "giant" map. No building or resource collecting here, just battle. The units landed on a planet vs. the units on the planet. 3) Resources- 3 resources instead of 1: Food, ore and credits. Some planets have unique resources with special bonuses, like RoN. 4) Building- Buildings are unuseable in a battle, but are outside a battle. Different buildings for research, resources, etc. Defences are useable in a battle, though. 5) Screens- There is 2 battle screens, a building screen (for placing buildings), galaxy map, to order attacks on planets, see what planets u have, etc. 6) Mostly UU sets. However, some units have a be a little generic (every civ has a fighter, assualt infantry, Special Forces, etc.) All of this unless RoN is used. swphreak
Well, it sound like it would be a good game, but you left out a civ, but I wont say it. . . .
Crazy_dog no.3
The Vong have no basis in movies, and movies set aside they are a piece of bull****. Generally the majority of gamers don't know who Vong are anyway. Yes there is a lot of information about them, but I personally expected the SW saga to end after the take of Coruscant. Then they live happily ever after.
swphreak
Then who will the NR and IR battle against? the NR and IR dont really fight that much.
Crazy_dog no.3
I never meantioned either of them as separate civs. Note the Empire/IR . This is basically to keep the people happy who want TIE Defenders and stuff.
lukeiamyourdad
I hav a hard time imaginating the IR and NR in a space RTS....
Sithmaster_821
They are the Empire/Rebs. Crazy included this so that Corran and Windu dont come rushing in here demanding EU civs. I hav a hard time imaginating the IR and NR in a space RTS.... I have a hard time imagining them period
Admiral Vostok
Actually, Windu is almost as opposed to EU as I am. He's a Star Wars purist too. But Corran loves it, and he will be demanding them.
swphreak
I would demand them but then the rest of the club would come and "you know what." I really think the Vong would be a good EU civ if there were to be only one EU civ. Allthe Hutt Cartels and stuff. pffff. Why make some secondary mercenary civ when you can have a real civ, and it would be cool.
lukeiamyourdad
Because more people know about the Hutts the the YV.
clonedjedi
well crazy your ideas are good and may i add i hate the way they set out the fighter battles in swgb the fighters just float in space and c which fighter goes down first. this sounds like a great game but maybe not for swgb but if something like that went on the market i would bye it
swphreak
So, as someone posted in another EU civ debate you all destroyed, by the way, they can learn about the YV. If you ant a Mercenary Hutt civ, I'll make you a map in scenrio editor with the Hutt;s army (actually I wont cuz he damn thng crashes all the time for me).
