yangyan
How do you make a flying TIE like in Artus Topside? TIE!!!
Leslie Judge
Probably with func_train. In SP you can use scripting to make the model fly.
yangyan
You can't make models a func_train. I think you make a brush texture nodraw, then make it a func_train, then target it with the x-wing.
Leslie Judge
Hmm... X-Wing is not good if you want to make flying TIEs. But yes, you can make what you said.
AKPiggott
Can you do more advanced things like change the pitch and yaw of the MD3? I think it always looks better if the ship swerves as it flies as opposed to sticking it in a straight line.
Leslie Judge
I tested this md3 targeting thing with func_plats yes, so what I can say for sure that the model moves as the func_plat moves keeping all the relative differences (distance, angles). But this makes me think that if you can make the func_train do those things you mentioned, the md3 will do the same).
