ninja Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 hey whats up map makers. if you need help with any background music for your maps let me know. my music is not all the same genre. but they are 95% non-lyrics. so that means no voices. i have music from sound tracks, and other stuff not from movies. so the styles can vary. these some include midieval battle music, asian such as japanese or chinese midieval battle music, sci-fi, sci-fi electronic, electronic, horror, video game music, anime, beats, and of course star wars music and other music dedicated to star wars and star wars characters. gee did i forget anything? lol if you need my help post your e-mail, and i can help you sample the music through voice chat at yahoo.

dvader28 Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Make sure the file you want is in the right directory i.e. base/yourmapname/sound/ then in radiant, press N, scroll down to worldspawn, and add the key music, with the value being the path to your file WITHOUT the .wav extension.
ninja Posted January 25, 2003 Author Posted January 25, 2003 all my music has been changed to mp3 format. i have a cd burning program, i think i'm able to change my stuff to wav. format. but with making maps, does that matter?

dvader28 Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 no, JO's music is actually in .mp3 format anyway. by the way, if you want to easily convert mp3 to wav there's a program called, funnily enough, mp32wav...you can get it on downloads.com i think...much quicker than using your CD software.
