arlevy
I am using the on board video card (Via Tech VT8361/8601 Graphics Controller) and may game will only show a frame about every 3 seconds. Needless to say that it is unusable. I have all the latest drivers. Here are my specs: Processor: AMD Duron 950 Direct X: 9.0 Video card: Via Tech VT8361/8601 Graphics Controller Memory: 256 OS: Windows 2000 Advanced Server When I run DXDIAG.EXE, everything checks out fine. Any help would be appreciated - all my other games run (Warcraft III, Empire Earth, The Thing, etc). Thanks, Andrew
Hekx
Have you tried updated your graphic's card's drivers? You can usually find them on the manufacturer's website. Although I haven't heard of Via Tech...

[/Quote] First Rule of Thumb, make sure to make note of all of customer's complaints and input, which includes him mentioning he has the latest drivers. But common sense says that On-board controllers for Audio and video cards usually don't suffice well with games like UT2K3 and Jedi Outcast. They are graphics memory hogs. So i'd say if you have about $130 or so, you could try ebay for a GeForce 4 Ti4200 card, which will do just fine for both games, and more recently released games as well.
