Hekx
(1) -- Since JKII is built on the Quake 3 engine, most of the commands are the same. Here's a list of all command 'variables' for the server. I've found a useful weapon disable / force power disable calculator, you can find it here. If you're unable to find every command for the server, you can search google for 'Q3 Commands' (2) -- Hosting a server seems to use quite a fair bit of system resources and memory. If you have 2 computers, the best thing to do is host one on the unused computer, while you can connect on the other PC. Unless you have a DSL / Cable / T1 connection and a 1+Ghz PC, the server maybe a little laggy. If you connect and play on the server also, that can cause lag too. I don't really know any means to help improve the chances of less lag on a hosted server, unless the computer that hosts the server is only used to host a server. Andy867
Well, its always best to not play a client side game on the same computer as the server, because this requires twice as much calculations, and can cause serious lag issues if certain advanced tips aren't taken. but in regards to just hosting a game, a top of the line computer really isn't necessary, since even a 500 MHz can do the calculations with ease that Jedi Outcast requires. So a simple 500 MHz machine with 256 RAM and even a low end video card would be fine, since the server machine doesn't do any of the graphical rendering that is actually seen.
