All kidding aside, this place is pretty dead, I had to sweep the dust just to get in here!

So does anyone have any info on this? Are they still making this game?

Well at least I put some life back in here...

No clue. I wondered initially if this will be the PC game, along with Battleground, while they ship Galaxies off to console (it is a sony product).

You know they are keeping this game a secret I think... All there is on the LEC web site is this:

LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC and BioWare Corp. today announced a partnership to create the first Star Wars role playing game (RPG) for PC and next generation video game systems. Expected to release in 2002, the game will be set in a time period prior to the Star Wars films.

The agreement combines Star Wars, the most successful film-based license in interactive entertainment, with BioWare's considerable development expertise in the role playing genre. BioWare created the critical and commercial hit RPG Baldur's Gate™. The Star Wars role playing game will be developed by BioWare and marketed and distributed by LucasArts.

For the game, LucasArts and BioWare are creating an entirely original storyline set some four thousand years before Star Wars:Episode I. The ancient era is dominated by an epic struggle between the Jedi and the evil Sith. "This collaboration with BioWare further represents LucasArts' long-term strategy to build relationships with the world's premier game developers," says Simon Jeffery, president of LucasArts. "BioWare has consistently delivered compelling games with rich and deeply engaging stories. Together, we aim to create a milestone role playing game set within a unique and largely unexplored area of the Star Wars universe."

"The opportunity to create a richly detailed new chapter in the Star Wars universe is incredibly exciting for us," says Dr. Greg Zeschuk, joint CEO of BioWare.

"We are honored to be working with the extremely talented folks at LucasArts, developing a role playing game based upon one of the most high-profile licenses in the world," added Dr. Ray Muzyka, joint CEO of BioWare.

Humm... Wow aren't we all excited by this game now?

First, they'd have to have a game, not a press release. Second, they'd have to actually spend time and money writing the code or the story right now.

I don't see with Ep 2 in post production, even though LEC is a seperate entity from LucasFilm, how they'd do everything over in the magical county of Marin in California.

First of all I don't always wrongly draw conclusion, damn so much hate towards your fellow postee (notes?)...

Now as for making the gane, I don't think two Dark Jedis would do any good, I prefer saying you two for somewhere we can actually do some damage... mwwwaahahahahhahahaa

About this game being the PC version of an RPG and Galxies being for console. I find that hard to believe since Galaxies is supposed to be over the net so that everyone is playing in the same galaxy.

Well some Next Gen consoles have internet access in 'em (the DC I think, from what I heard Pedro say).

I really wonder what this game is going to be like. There doesn't seem to be any action on this game at all, meaning it's been dead on LEC's page about this baby and I wonder if it's going to be dropped... I dunno... Where's the Flash Trailer on the official site?!?!
