I guess thats why people always make creatures semitrical and anthropormorphic and modeled after humans, because its all we know...it'd be nice to have more imagination though. I mean on some planets humans WOULD have different skin colors. For instance, on planets with a lot of ultraviolet light they might develop a special skin color.

yeah that is very true. It would be neat if you could actually chose major features of your characters apperance in KOTOR, or can you?

Then they wouldn't be considered human. Like Thrawn for instance, if he didn't have blue skin and red eyes he could've looked human. He couldn't been from a planet like you described. But because of how most Sci-fi and fantasy is written humans have the ethnic groups that we actually have in real life and anything out of the ordinary like blue/red/green skin is some other species. That's just how it's been done.

Also, Bioware said we had to be human for some reason having to do with the story.

Otherwise, rather than being some weird color skinned human I'd want to be Twilek.

You will be able to choose race, hair, weight-body type(I think) just like in Neverwinter Nights.
