Sephiroth CR Posted February 4, 2003 Share Posted February 4, 2003 Ok. I gave my friend my I.P. address and he added the I.P. address to his favorites. But nothing shows up. And when somethin does show up, it isnt my server and he cant connect to it. He has a 56k connection. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Andy867 Posted February 5, 2003 Share Posted February 5, 2003 Is anyone able to join your game? Are you behind a Firewall or a Router? These can cause serious problems which require tweaking of the software if you do have them. Plus, it is kind of hard to play a heavy demand game online with a 56K connection, though its possible with a super-fast bandwidth server. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sephiroth CR Posted February 5, 2003 Author Share Posted February 5, 2003 My computer was just recently hooked into a network. Although, my computer plugs strait into my cable modem. (my dads cpu uses a wireless router). However, very few people are actually able to connect to my server, plus my server is only listed under the local section when I go to join it, even though I am dedicating it to the internet. Plus, my server isn't listed using the All Seeing Eye. My connection is 1-way cable (56k upstream, cable downstream). Any suggestions to fix this so my friends and other people can join my server?
