Morrowind: I need your Opinions

Well, I own morrowind on my Xbox, and I must say it's quite possibly one of the greatest RPG's that i've ever played. It's extremely open ended, allowing you to do basically whatever you want to. You can steal almost everything, fight anyone, talk to anyone, bribe people to like you, taunt people into fighting you, join guilds or go freelance....it's basically up to you.

The fighting system is somewhat simplistic, which is it's only real downfall next to lengthy load times, but the magic system is very cool, spell effects are wonderful and they have a plethora of neat creatures that you can summon......overall, i give morrowind a 9.5/10

I have this game for the XBox as well. Its a lot of fun, and very involving when you really want to get into it. If you are excepting something that you can just jump in and play, this is not it. It takes some time to complete quest and develop. Its best feature is that its completely open ended and never ends. Lots of reply value.

The PC version is great since there is an additional addon expansion pack to the main story and mods you can DL.

great combat? you cant have great combat with a sword in any game on any system. and he's getting it for pc, which means if he has a good enough computer it could take like no time at all to load. but if he has a crappy computer it wont even work. I bought it too for pc after playing it on X-box . and it doesn't work cuz I don't have a good enough video card. dont make the same mistake I did.

As for combat again. it sure beats a 2d final fantasy. no question.

you just walk up to someone and click on the mouse and the sword swings. What's wrong with that? how complicated does it need to be? It's still the best sword wielding game out there. if you want good combat go for soldier of fortune 2.
