bsp question

There might be a way, but from what I've heard, the results are pretty lousy. However, you should first check, if you still have the mymap.bak file present. If you have, just rename it mymap.map and you'll have your map back in a shape as good as ever.

About the .bsp -> .map conversion, I can not tell anything concrete, however.

If you can't find a backup of it, I'd suggest starting over. It would at least make for good practice.

The way the bsp-map converter works is basically like this-

If your bsp only consisted of a cube (6 faces, 1 object total), then when converting it using the so-called-converter, you would end up with 6 very thin panels for each of the faces that made up the cube (so 36 faces, 6 total objects)... so that's not really a good idea.
