dvader28
Hi all. I have a problem when attempting to compile a map using q3map2. Whatever option i select, on every map i've tried, the DOS window opens, then closes after about 2 seconds..no error message, nothin'. It's no doubt something incredibly obvious, but only to those who know the answer
Wudan
What version of GTKRadiant are you using? Sounds like you are just running Q3Map2 by clicking on it in folder view. You could always go to the Q3Map2 Support Forums, at http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=8 I wrote a small tutorial on writing a batch file to compile maps with Q3Map2, http://users.sisna.com/wudan/q3map2.html But that guide has been rendered useless because GTKRadiant 1.2.11 uses Q3Map2 almost exclusively. Leslie Judge
Anyway it looks very like that Radiant tries to run q3map2 and it's not there where Radiant expects. You upgraded to 1.2.12, and that's an all game update, so it is possible that something went wrong. To be sure, check the Preferences / Game settings first. It's probably OK, if you have the compile error only. Then go to the Project settings, and open one of the q3map2 compile commands to see are they OK. Last but nor least, go to your GtkRadiant folder to see if q3map2 is still there and healthy. If you don't have BSP monitoring on, then check the junk.txt also. If you have, then check the console for additional info. As you can see, I don't know what the problem is, but these are the things I would check first if I were you.
